Broker protection, in writing.

  • We don't quote or sell employee benefits. Not medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary, or anything else on a benefits brokerage statement of services.
  • We don't accept BOR (Broker of Record) letters. If a client tries to switch their benefits to us mid-engagement, we decline. Your AOR is safe.
  • We work alongside you on open enrollment. If your client uses Konnect for HR, we collaborate with you on enrollment communications, employee education, and benefits questions, never around you.
  • We refer benefits work to you. When our HR clients need a broker, you go on our short list.

How the broker program works

From referral to payout.

    You submit the referral

    Use the form below or send Jamie a direct email. Tell us who they are, what you think they need, and how you want us to introduce ourselves (warm intro mentioning you, cold outreach without your name, or you'll do the intro yourself).

    Jamie reaches out within 1 business day

    Personally. Every broker referral is handled by our CEO until the program is large enough to warrant a dedicated channel manager. We offer the Konnect Audit as the no-pressure first step.

    Status updates at 30, 60, 90 days

    You always know where the deal is. If they sign before 30 days, you'll know within a week. If they pass, you'll know why so you can keep your relationship clean.

  4. 4

    Reward paid 30 days after month 6

    When the referral has been an active, paying Konnect client for 6 full months, the broker reward pays out 30 days later. Tiered by client size. Reported on Form 1099. Direct deposit or check.

Konnect's broker reward is a one-time cash bonus when a referred client becomes active and stays active for 6 months. Tiered by the size of the client. Specific tier amounts are finalized and provided in your Broker Referral Agreement when you join the program.

Broker FAQ

The questions every broker asks first.

Will you ever try to take my benefits relationship?

No. It's contractually prohibited in our Broker Referral Agreement. We don't quote benefits, we don't accept BOR letters, and we don't have an in-house benefits arm. The HR services we sell have no overlap with what a broker sells.

What if my client asks Konnect for benefits help directly?

We refer them right back to you. If they don't have a broker, you go on our short list of brokers we recommend. Our HR clients are a meaningful pipeline of benefits work for the brokers who refer to us.

How does Konnect collaborate with brokers during open enrollment?

We work in lockstep with you. Our HR team handles employee communications, education sessions, enrollment support, and Q&A on the HR side, while you handle plan design, carrier negotiation, and benefits decisions. Your client gets a unified experience and you get a force multiplier during the busiest season of the year.

What if my client is already a Konnect client and wants me to be their broker?

We'll happily introduce you. Send a note to partners@hrkonnect.com and we'll connect you to clients in your geography or specialty.

When does the reward pay out?

30 days after the referred client's 6th month as an active, paying Konnect client. Reported on Form 1099. Direct deposit or check, your preference.

What if the deal closes but doesn't last 6 months?

No payout. We hold to 6 months active to make sure the deal is real and the relationship is healthy. This is standard across the industry (PEOs, HCM platforms, HR services firms all use this gate). If a deal you sent us churns, we'll talk to you about it directly.

Can I be on a Konnect channel partner list publicly?

Yes, if you want. We're building a Channel Partner directory on hrkonnect.com that listed brokers can use as a credibility marker with their own clients. Ask Jamie when you sign the Broker Referral Agreement.
